18 October, 2015, Khartoum- UNFPA in collaboration with Ahfad University and UK Aid will organize an international Knowledge Sharing conference on Women and Girls' Health from 20th to 22nd of October 2015, at Corinthia hotel, Khartoum.

Through this conference, UNFPA and partners aim to promote knowledge sharing through exchange of experiences and demonstrate best practices of local, regional and international actors working in field of women and young ladies reproductive health.

The presentations and discussions will focus on three areas: availability of conducive policy environment; community-based interventions in addition to assessment and measurement of changes and impact.

Representatives of more than 30 NGOs, UN agencies, academia and research centers and media will be actively engaged in dialogues and discussions during the conference to share and exchange experiences and perceptions; ultimately, this conference is to come out with substantive strategic direction to assist in abandonment of FGM and addressing child marriage in Sudan.
