Sudan’s Social Welfare and Security’s Ministry, announced on Thursday that it has made strategic partnership with the World Bank mission in the country to consolidate social protection programmes through support of strategic national initiative on social support by offering training and capacity building as well as the provision of technical and logistic assistance for the workers of the ministry as to achieve increase social protection efficiency
Social Welfare and Security’s Minister, Mashaer Al-Dawalb welcomed the partnership which is to be practically implemented next October basing on the will of the two parties for the joint action in the social protection projects on poverty control.
The World Bank is to provide a technical assistance in the form of productive security network as a tentative project on labor against money, which is to be launched in North Kordofan State at a value of more than 3 million dollars and then to be applied in the other states after the bank completes preparation of the project next October.
She presented a comprehensive briefing on the project of the Strategic National Initiative on the Social Support which targets 500, 000 households in all states of Sudan in accordance with the synergistic initiative packets
