Sudan’s president, Omer Al-Bashir has received telephone call from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, in which that latter congratulated Al-Bashir on winning the presidential election for a new term.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SPA on Tuesday, President Al Bashir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his good wishes.
During the phone call, the parties reviewed bilateral relations between their countries and the overall regional and international events.
Al-Bashir won re-election with 94% of the vote this month, according to official results released on Monday, extending his 25-year rule despite international war crimes charges and multiple insurgencies. The oil-rich South Sudan seceded in 2011.
