Sudan participates in the Spring Meetings in Washington DC

Sudan’s Minister of Finance and National Economy, Badr al-Din Mahmoud, will chair a high-level delegation and head to Washington DC to participate in the Spring Meetings to be held 17-20 May 2015 related to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank which would discuss the economic performance of Member States in the Bretton Woods institutions and on the sidelines of the meetings a number of seminars and workshops in the field of financial and economic work and side meetings between Member States will be held.
Sudan delegation includes Sudan’s Central Bank Governor and Undersecretary of Finance and National Economy Ministry along with a technical staff from the Ministry and the Central Bank
Sudan’s Minister will hold discussions with his finance counterparts of the countries that have economic relations with Sudan, besides meetings to discuss the country’s foreign debts with US Treasury Department, The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Japan, Norway, France, Italy and Austria in the framework of benefit from the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative
