The representatives of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North) in the European Countries would like to honour the movement’s heroes and martyrs everywhere in both armed and civil struggle. They would also like to commend all Sudanese defenders of human rights, dignity, justice and equality. Furthermore, they salute all those who are steadfast and languishing in jails and detention centers of the unjust regime, the Sudanese refugees worldwide, those in the Diaspora and the internally displaced persons.

As a matter of fact, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North) and its allies in the Sudan Revolutionary Front, the Sudanese initiative of civil society, the national consensus forces, and all honorable real opposition forces have continued the dialogue and the struggle to achieve a comprehensive and just peace and to ensure the due respect of human rights, democracy and equal citizenship. In the mean time, the movement has been participating in the strenuous efforts of the High-level Panel of Implementation of the African Union, the Troika (United States, Britain and Norway) and the EU countries.

Now the regime of the National Congress party and its allies of artificial parties want to take the planned elections set up to take place from the 13th to 14th of April 2015 in Sudan, and from 18th to 19th of April 2015 at its embassies in Britain and Belgium as a façade intended to legitimize the regime, and the falsification of the national will, and pretention to International family of false democracy built on the foundations of the dictatorship, It is doing this manipulations specially when all the opposition forces are ruled out and excluded, and all the efforts made by the African Union, the pleas of the European Union and the troika and all lovers of peace are deliberately ignored.

In fact, the government of National Congress Party (NCP) refused every opportunity to end the war and achieve democracy and build a state of citizenship without discrimination, and to achieve a comprehensive political solution and national consensus, by insisting to move forward in the path of war and tyranny, corruption and impoverishment, and rejected peaceful solutions and the trend towards partial elections to perpetuate dictatorship. So the SPLM confirms the absence of an enabling environment for the conduct of free, fair and credible elections, transparency and broad participation of all political forces and civil society organizations, so as to decide on core issues such as how to rule Sudan, and the formation of a broad-based transitional government to formulate a permanent constitution through the National Constitutional Conference to address political issues, and the sharing of national resources, and national identity and social equality.

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North) call and appeal to all the Sudanese people to massively work on the continuation and escalation of the resistance of all kinds against fake elections, and lack of recognition of their results, until the overthrow of the regime and work to stop the war, and the need for paying more attention to the human suffering of millions of Sudanese, including the cessation of aerial bombardment of civilians and stop targeting civilian institutions. The participation in this fraudulent election which has predetermined results and known outcomes means direct participation and engagement with the ruling National Congress Party in its crimes against the Sudanese people, and participating in the regime machine of war and ethnic cleansing and genocide in South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur and the collective massacres in Khartoum and Port Sudan and areas of dams especially in the north of Sudan. The SPLM appeals to the regional and international community not to provide technical or financial support or avail itself in the observation of this electoral charade, in order not to allow the National Congress government to continue its crimes against the people of Sudan, knowing that the International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued arrest warrants for Omer al-Bashir, Ahmed Haroun and the rest of the criminals.

The movement also provides for their participation with the political forces in the confrontation option through peaceful uprising to root out the tyrannical regime in Sudan.
