Sudan’s First Vice President, Hassabo Mohammed Abdel Rahman, will address the opening session of the workshop of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA) which will kick off in Khartoum on Monday.
The workshop will discuss the economic sanctions and their impact on the national security of African States. The 2-day workshop will represent papers dealing with the concept of the economic sanctions and their subsequent security implications and economic and social implications in the various service sectors and development, health and education, in addition to the national security of African States.
The director of information at Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) said in statements on Saturday the workshop will discuss the negative repercussions of economic sanctions on the growing phenomena of terrorism, human trafficking, organized crime and drugs trade besides the psychological problems resulting from unemployment, wars and cost of living pressures.
Leading figures and experts from the security and intelligence services in the African continent will take part in the workshop, where the CISSA activities drew great attention at the several of regional, continental and international levels
