Saudi-Sudanese investment forum will kick off in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on Sunday. Sudan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Abdul Hafiz Ibrahim, said that the Forum would discuss investment opportunities in the free and industrial zones and other sectors in Sudan.
Sudan’s delegation participating in the Forum, which hosted by Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh, headed by Sudan's Minister at the Higher Council for Investment, Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail, besides to the governor of the Red Sea State Mohamed Tahir Eila in addition to a number of officials.
Sudan’s diplomat added that all of the workshops that will be discussed by the Forum are in preparation for the second Saudi-Sudanese economic forum which will take place during the coming period, stressing that the programme of work of the forum includes a number of working papers that are equipped to attract the largest number of Saudi investors to invest in Sudan, including Sudan’s investment law and the controls and regulations of free zones, in addition to the policies and regulations of the Bank of Sudan areas in free markets and zones with presentation of a number of successful experiences for Sudanese companies and experiences of Saudi investment in the country.
