Feb 01, 2015-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Sudan’s opposition has announced that it would launch a campaign that calls people to boycott the elections to be held in April, disclosing that the campaign will target the public in markets and places of public gatherings to urge them not participate in the elections.
Member of the National Consensus Forces (NCF), Bakri Yousif, said in statements on Saturday that all opposition forces signatories to “Sudan Call” charter will take part in the campaign which will start next week under the slogan of “leave”.
Yousif pointed the campaign will also include opening of 30 parallel polling stations at the headquarters of the opposition parties, saying that people will use a ballot card reading “I am boycotting elections”, adding that dozens of similar polling stations will be opened across the country at a later stage.
He pointed out that the campaign will be launched next Wednesday in a public at the headquarters of the National Umma Party (NUP) in Omdurman
