Sudan’s army claims it repulsed rebel attack on areas in Southern Kordofan

Jan 16, 2015-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) claimed that it has repulsed an attack launched by the rebels of Sudan’s People Liberation-North (SPLM-N) on (3) areas liberated by the SAF this week from the hands of SPLM-N in Southern Kordofan state, adding that the rebels suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment.
SAF’s spokesman, Al-Sawarmi Khalid Sa’ad, said in press release on Thursday that the remnants of the rebels attacked in desperate attempt areas of Al-Gineizeea, Dalooka and Bilanga in Southern Kordofan.
Sa’ad stressed the success of Sudanese army in the “Decisive Summer” operations according to the prepared plan and arrangements, adding that Sudanese troops will continue its plans and will not be hindered by such attacks
