Sudan rejects proposal on borders demarcation program

Khartoum-The African Union borders program and the African high-level
mechanism, chare by Thabo Mbeki are organizing a workshop on
confidence building in Addis Ababa from 17 to 21 of current November.
Speaking to the Sudanese Media Center, the state minister at the
Presidency of the Republic Haroun Al-Rashid, who is also the head of
the Sudanese delegation in the workshop, has announced rejection to a
proposal on concluding the workshop with recommendations and a program
on demarcation of the borders of the areas of dispute.
However, an agreement to come out with a special report at the end of
the workshop has been accepted, he said.
The state minister said the workshop aims to build confidence on
borders issues and get acquainted with the international experiences
in this regard.
