US charge d’affaires: Washington is ready to handle impacts of sanctions on Sudan

Khartoum-The US charge d affairs has announced the US readiness to address the consequences of the unilateral sanctions on the Sudanese citizen, affirming that the disputes and wars are the main obstruction that distorts the image of Sudan and influences negatively on the US Congress, government and people.

He revealed the US consent to deal with Sudan in areas of education, health, agriculture besides granting it some licenses and exceptions in the three fields.

Head of the external affairs panel at the Parliament Mohamed Yousif said in a statement upon a meeting with the US charge d’ affaires to Sudan yesterday that the purpose of the American sanctions is to influence the Sudanese government to change its policies, however they affected the citizens directly.

He said the parliament is organizing a joint work with the US following the reformulation of the Congress by the end of the current year.
