Sudan and South Sudan journalists issue declaration against hatred speech

Khartoum-Journalists from Sudan and South Sudan have participated in the advocacy issues conference called for by Journalists for Human Rights in Nairobi, Kenya in October 2014.
The participants have discussed the challenges and priorities of human rights protection and consolidation of peaceful solutions for disputes.
The journalists have underscored the necessity of fighting the address of hatred in Sudan and South Sudan. The conference came out with Nairobi declaration against speech of hate. The declaration has affirmed the role of media in reporting conflicts and respecting human rights in both countries.
