Qatar emphasizes the importance of the stability of Sudan for Arabic and Islamic nation

Doha-Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Crown Prince of Qatar, met on Monday with Sudan’s First Vice President, Ali Osman Taha, at his Emiri Diwan on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Doha to participate in the signing of the final peace agreement between Khartoum’s government and the Darfur rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and attending of the International Donor Conference for the reconstruction and development of Darfur.

Al-Thani congratulated Taha on the positive results of the Donor Conference, as well as reaching an agreement with the rebels, lauding the role played by all the Sudanese factions to end their differences for peace, stability and development in Darfur, stressing the importance of the stability of Sudan for Arabic and Islamic nation.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop these relations in all fields, especially economic and investment fields, as well as a number of regional issues
