SPLM-North considers statement of Prof. Ghandour on new talks as lie

Khartoum-The SPLM-North has considered as the statement of the assistant to the Sudanese President Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour that the SPLM-North has not accepted the invitation of the high level African mechanism chaired by former South African president Thabo Mbeki to attend a new round of talks between the government and the SPLM.

The SPLM has affirmed receiving no invitation from the African mechanism on the talks, expressing sorrow over what it described as lies and deception.

The SPLM has called on Ghandour, who is in charge of the Addis Ababa talks, to show the invitation his party has received from the head of the African mechanism.
