Juba-The negotiation committee has submitted a complaint against the Sudanese side to the chairman of the high-level African mechanism Thabo Mbeki, who is currently in Juba, South Sudan.
Judge Ding Poing, the member in the committee of negotiation on Abyei, has delivered Mbeki a memorandum in which he complained about the illegal presence of the Sudanese armed forces in Keij oil field, and asked the African mediator to put pressures on Sudan to put an end to its military presence north of Abyei. The memorandum complained the stop of the pro Sudan militias’ attacks against the civilian in Abyei.
The Judge Poing has affirmed adherence to referendum as a mechanism for the final solution to the issue of Abyei.
