Sudanese army denies involvement in tribal conflict in east Darfur

Khartoum-The Sudanese armed forces denied on Wednesday what has been circulated by some rebel pockets in Darfur that the armed forces have participated in the recent incident between the Ma’alia and Rizaigat in east Darfur.

The official spokesperson of the armed forces Al-Sawarmy Khalid said that the nationalization of the armed forces is the national value according to which the army made its victories in all fonts, accusing the rebels of supporting and inciting tribalism.

He affirmed that the armed forces support any official and popular efforts to prevent any bloodshed, stating that the armed forces have been away from any tribal conflict since the Independence.
