The National Congress Party: Al-Mahdi seeks “political stardom”

Khartoum-The National Congress Party has said that the leader of Umma Party Al-Sadeq Al-Mahdi is seeking poli9tial stardom, adding that the appearance of Al-Turabi in the dialogue has stirred up his jealousy and made him to start creating problems and maneuvers. The National Congress has refused to call what happened to deputy chairwoman of the Umma party Mariam Al-Sadeq as an arrest, saying it is just apprehension for investigations.

Speaking to a Radio show yesterday , the leading member in the National Congress, Dr. Amin Hassan Omer said that whoever signed an agreement with the armed movements, will not come back and enjoy quite sleep in their beds. “This does not happen in any country in the world”, he added.
