Chief of joint mission Darfur: Fighting between government and rebels decreased

Khartoum-The Head of the United Nations-African Union joint mission Mohamed Bin Shambas on Friday briefed the UN security council on the situations in Darfur and the measures being made by the mission to implement the strategic priorities as requested by the security council decision number 2148 ( 2014).

The head of the UN-AU mission has stated that the ongoing fighting between the government and the armed movement have widely reduced in the past few months. He further said that the government of Sudan has withdrawn the Rapid Support Forces from the current operations in Darfur.
