Head of security Panel: SPLM memo on cessation of war is political maneuver

Khartoum-Head of the security committee in the Parliament Malik Hussein has described as political maneuver the SPLM-North move signing a memorandum of understanding with Sheikh Musa Hilal on cessation of war and solving crises of the country as the movement still continues war and receives support from bodies he did not reveal.
He said” if the movement is truly honest in its move with Hilal, it should have made it at IGAD forum in Addis Ababa or the internal national dialogue table.
He pointed out the party is worried about security breaches in North Darfur these days.
In the meantime, Malik said he is not authorized by the party to speak on the issue of Musa Hilal, but he said, from personal perspective, that what has been made by Hilal in this regard is individual behavior.
He told reporters yesterday that” if that was true, he would have made consultations with the party as Musa Hilal is a member to the national congress”
He said the assignations, thefts, abduction and inter-tribal conflicts in north Darfur represent a challenge for the government, saying they expand the targeting circle on the country.
