UN makes urgent appeal to assist 800 refugees in Africa

Khartoum-Two UN agencies made Wednesday a joint appeal to raise urgent assistance for 800 thousands refuges in Africa who suffer from acute lack of food materials, stating that third of them are Darfuri refugees in eastern Chad.

The World Food Program and the UN Higher Commission of Refugees warned on Tuesday that the funding difficulties, which were exacerbated by the security and logistics issues in some countries, have made the UN to reduce the food quotas allocated for around 800 refugees in Africa.
