Deputy in Parliament: landmines kill 80 persons in eastern Sudan

Khartoum-The Parliament has decided to summon the minister of defense Lieutenant General Abdel-Rahim Mohamed Hussein in the coming few days to inquire about the land mines in the country especially in eastern Sudan following what has been circulated about killing and injury of citizens in eastern Sudan. The parliament will also inquire the minister on his plan to remove the mines and on the fate of the victims.
The member of the parliament for Hamshkoriab constituency Mohamed Tahir Osham, who made the summon request, said on Sunday that around 80 persons were killed and 180 others injured because of land mines in the last few months.
