Newborns in Wad Abu-Shamal village near Khartoum suffer from baldness

Khartoum-The population of a Sudanese village, around 46 kilometers from Khartoum state, lives with a rare phenomenon that represents in the birth of newborns with baldness and physical and mental problem
Speaking to Ashorooq, a number of the people from “Wad Abu-Shamal” village said that the doctors attributed the matter to genes due to inter-family marriages. However, the phenomenon occurred even in marriages outside the village.
Sheikh of the village Sharf-Eddin Abu-Shamal said” we have become confused and we imagined we in Mars planet or planet other than the earth”
He added that these newborns do not know anything as if they have mental disorder, urging the authorities to interfere to decipher the mystery of the phenomenon.
