Oil Minister: Oil stock reaches 4 billion barrels

Khartoum-The Minister of Oil, Mekawi Mohamed Awad, has revealed that the stock of the Sudanese oil is estimated to be at 4 billion barrels, expecting changes in the oil map of the country and rise in the investments in new blocks.

He pointed to effective entry of new investors including the new promising areas. In a meeting with the chairman of PETRONAS Company in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, the minister urged the company to increase its oil investments in Sudan, lauding its role in the first project of the Sudanese oil.
