Clashes at Khartoum University renewed

Khartoum-A number of students were injured and some buildings were burned due to the renewal of clashes between Khartoum University students in Shambat complex in Khartoum North on Monday, according to a statement of the student affairs secretariat on the internet.

The clashes broke out after violent clashes at Al-wast complex on Sunday.

The university said that the incident started with skirmishes between two student groups. The first group wants to continuity of th4 study while the other one seeks obstruction of the study. The skirmishes turned into discussions and use of violence.

The statement denounced the use of violence as means to solve problems, urging the university community to contribute in renouncing violence and using arms and acts of sabotage at the university campus.
