Peace Building Center celebrates anniversary of Singer Wardi

Asmara-The Peace Building Center in the Horn of African organized a celebration in the Eritrean capital of Asmara last week on the occasion of the anniversary of the top Sudanese and African vocalist Mohamed Wardi amid wide diplomatic and popular presence.

The celebration came as a celebration over the triumph of the ethnic, cultural and political diversity, and as recognition to the role of Wardi who moved from singing in the Nubian language to singing for all Sudan and the horn of Africa until he became the emperor of the singing in the area. His songs have been translated into the Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali and Dink languages

A group of the singers in the horn of Africa have participated in the occasion.

The Secretary General of the Popular Front for Democracy and Justice, Al-Amin Mohamed Saed, ambassadors of South Sudan, western countries, Egypt and Sudan were present at the occasion..

The peace building center works in field of consolidating peace culture in the area, stopping wars and supporting values of co existence and love between the people through capacity building workshops, conferences, music , theater and arts.
