Sudan affirms keenness to maintain ties with Egypt

Khartoum-The Sudanese Foreign minister Ali Karti has affirmed directives by the President of the Republic Omer Al-Bashir to promote bilateral relations with Egypt in all fields.

This came upon a meeting with the president Al-Bashir to brief him on the outcome of his visit to Russia and the meetings he conducted with the Russian officials to consolidate ties with the two countries.
He said that the meeting touched on the relations with Turkey, especially with regard to the economic fields.

He said that during his visit to Russia, he held meetings with the Russian foreign minister, the Russian peace envoy for Sudan and the Russian Center for Orientalism Studies.
He said that the visit aimed to strengthen the Sudanese-Russian relations, push ahead economic files, lauding the Russian stances in support of Sudan at the international arenas.
