Sudanese Foreign Minister denounces rebel attacks in Darfur, urges western governments to be neutra

Khartoum-The Sudanese foreign minister has expressed condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the sinful attacks by what is so called Sudan Liberation Movement-Minawi faction on a number of areas in Darfur in the past days

The Sudanese foreign minister said in a statement on Saturday said that the international community should know a number of facts that represent in targeting of safe villages and towns with no military garrisons inside by these attacks, pointing out that a number of social leaders, tribal chiefs and native administration icons were liquidated during the attack.

The statement also referred to the acts of #####ng, sabotage of public and private properties, abduction of workers.


The statement said that this series of attacks have started on the eve of spoiling the recent round of talks on areas of Blue Nile and South Kordofan by what it so called the” North Sector”.

The statement said that the attacks were planned to spoil the peace efforts and create maximum panic among citizens for self-assertion reasons at the cost of the lives of innocent people and their safety and stability.

The Sudanese foreign ministry said that the attacks came in a time when Sudan government is doubling its efforts to realize stability and pave the climate for the return of the discalced persons.

The statement urged the voices of some western government and organizations, which rushed to denounce to the Sudanese government, to adopt, for once, neutrality, objectivity and fairness
