Army spokesman: More than 173 rebels killed in attack in South Sudan

Khartoum-The South Sudan state has affirmed that the rebel movement led by former vice president Reik Machar is receiving huge military support from foreign bodies it refused to reveal at the current time. The South Sudan said that Machar is carrying out tribal mobilization in its war against the state a matter which will have negative impact on the social fabric in the future.

In the meantime, the government of South Sudan has announced killing of more than 173 rebels in east of the country following an attack by the rebels.
The spokesman of the South Sudan Army Phiilip Aguer has said that some foreign bodies provide Machar with sophisticated weapons. He said that we will soon name these bodies after the availability of the evidence.

Aguer denied presence of evidence that Khartoum is involved in supporting Macahr. He said that South Sudan forces have seized anti aircraft guns and ammunitions but these are not sufficient to accuse a certain country.

He said that the rebels have attacked Jadiang area north Bor city three times, but the SPLM forces were able to repulse the attack and inflicted them heavy causalities.

He affirmed that South Sudan army has a huge capability to defend the country.
