Al-Merghani meets delegation of Minawi movement in London


The delegation of the Sudan Liberation Movement – Minawi faction met in London on Tuesday with the Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party Mohamed Osman Al-Merghani at his residence in London.
Al-Merghani welcomed the delegation and thanked members of the delegation for answering the invitation, saying that his meeting with the movement comes n the framework of meeting with the armed movements and discuss with them the means necessary to conduct a serious dialogue on the just peace in Sudan to maintain its integrity and unity.

Al-Merghani touched his former initiatives to solve the Sudanese issue that includes his initiative in 2005.
The delegation thanked Al-Merghani for inviting them for this meeting, stressing the importance of the principle of the peaceful dialogue to reach a just solution to the Sudanese issue, however it is conditional on the seriousness and credibility from the government side, and the privacy of the war affected areas. The delegation said that these areas should be given a priority in terms of lifting political, social and economic injustice.
The meeting underscored the importance of continuity of dialogue through formation a mini committee form both sides for this purpose.
