Sudan suspends ICRC activities for technical reasons

Khartoum-The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has said that the Sudanese authorities have ordered suspension of its activities as of Saturday suspended its activities as of Saturday for technical reasons. The ICRC said that it has been working in Sudan for 36 years.

The ICRC said that it is working on helping people affected by the conflict in Darfur, and is providing them with food and water. It also works to help the people, who were separated by the fighting, with reunion.

The ICRC said that it is working on application of the international humanitarian law on protection of the conflict affected people.

Sudan has witnessed in the past few months demonstrations that were suppressed by the security.
