all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. These the first famous words of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. 60 years ago, established the fundamental of international human rights law. Yet today the fights against discrimination remains a daily struggle for millions of people around the world.
The office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is a world leader in the stands against the force of the discrimination. As the guardian of international Human Rights law. The United Nation Human Right advocates for and promotes human right reforms in many countries across the Globe, as well as throughout the United Nation community. There are many types of discriminating, racism, and segregation for example:
1- Discrimination against indigenous people: the UN stated that "Indigenous peoples face many challenges and their human rights are frequently violated: they are denied control over their own development based on their own values, needs and priorities; they are politically under-represented and lack access to social and other services. They are often marginalized when it comes to projects affecting their lands and have been the victims of forced displacement as a result of ventures such as the exploitation of natural resources. The United Nations has highlighted the problem of discrimination against indigenous peoples since the first Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination in 1973-1982. In 1982, the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations articulated needs and aspirations of indigenous peoples in a draft Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. This led to the landmark adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in September 2007 by the UN General Assembly. The Declaration has rapidly become a key tool for the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples".
2- Discrimination against people with Disabilities: The UN stated that " Over 650 million people around the world live with disabilities. In every region of the world, in every country, persons with disabilities often live on the margins of society, deprived of some of life’s fundamental experiences. They have little hope of going to school, getting a job, having their own home, creating a family, and raising their children, socializing, or voting. Persons with disabilities make up the world’s largest and most disadvantaged minority".
3- Discrimination against women: " Gender equality is essential for the achievement of human rights for all. Yet discriminatory laws against women persist in every corner of the globe and new discriminatory laws are enacted.
4- Discrimination against minorities: the UN Stated that " Minority issues have been on the agenda of the United Nations for more than 60 years. Already in 1948, the General Assembly declared that the United Nations could not remain indifferent to the fate of minorities. The 2005 World Summit Outcome reaffirmed the importance of minority rights’ protection and promotion to the work of the United Nations, stating that “the promotion and protection of the rights of persons belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities contribute to political and social stability and peace and enrich the cultural diversity and heritage of society.”
5- Racial discrimination: the UN stated that " Racial and ethnic discrimination occur daily, hindering progress for millions of people around the world. From denying individuals the basic principles of equality and non-discrimination to fueling ethnic hatred that may lead to genocide, racism and intolerance destroy lives and communities. The struggle against racism is a matter of priority for the international community and is at the heart of the work of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Besides that, there are more forms of discrimination such as, sexual orientation or shit pusher people discrimination, religions, migrant and gender identity.
The international community, through the UN has issued several conventions to address the serious concerns of the different types of discrimination as the follows:
    - Equal Remuneration Convention 1951
    - Discrimination (Employment and occupations) convention 1958
    - International Convention On The Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination
    - Declaration On Race And Racial Prejudice
    - Convention Against Discrimination In Education
    - Protocol Instituting A Conciliation and Food Office Commission to Be Responsible For Seeking A Settlement Between States Parties to The Convention Against Discrimination In Education
    - Declaration on The Elimination of All Interlace And of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief
    - World Conference Against Racism 2001.
