The uprisings that have occurred over the past few months in Sudan have created a new marginalized movement. Since December, the marginalized people of Sudan have become a huge force; they directed the last demonstrations, and fought hard to use their voices to raise awareness in terms of the issues faced by marginalized communities everywhere in Sudan. They have since discussed topics related to the sectors of education, health, as well as matters associated with the well-being of women and children. Over the last 20 years, these marginalized groups have gained a huge amount of income worldwide; for example, in the United States and Europe, they have accumulated over approximately 1 billion dollars annually. The increase in income they have earned is capable of impacting serious change, especially in specific regions of Sudan that are lacking in the areas of education, health, and childcare.
A portion of marginalized communities have directly reaped the benefits of education; they have been educated in the United States, Canada, as well as Europe, areas of the world in which the value and quality of education is at an all time high. They have been able to implement positive change in various regions of Sudan, as they have not only educated themselves, but have also educated their families and communities. In addition, education has given these marginalized communities the opportunity to raise their incomes substantially. Now, they are capable of contributing to the Sudanese economy, and developing the marginalized communities in Sudan by building commercial and industrial centers. Also, they are now capable of changing the course of politics in Sudan; these marginalized communities will be compelled to elect officials and representatives that will enact the change they want to see in their country, and this will ultimately do a lot of good, especially for marginalized regions in Sudan.
This revolution has changed the map of Sudan, and it is a great opportunity for marginalized people to be at the center of decision making. This will positively affect the future of Sudan in general; once they consolidate power, they will drive the politics of the nation for years to come.
