Application denied for Adán Cortés Salas, Nobel-Jammers
Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai was never afraid during the incident during the Nobel ceremony in Oslo City Hall, when a Mexican student (Adán Cortés Salas) suddenly got up on stage and asked her not to forget Mexico.
The man, who sought asylum in Norway, has been denied.
- I was a little worried when it happened, but I do not think it was anything to be afraid of, says 17-year-old, who is under threat of death, the news agency NTB.
She claims to have understanding and feel sympathy for the Mexican students and that she felt threatened by the young man.
Oslo Police District has decided that the 21-year-old, Adán Cortés Salas, will pay (around) $ 2 000 in fines for disturbing the order.
21-year-old had previously told his brother about his plans. He called his twin brother on Tuesday and said he would demonstrate the peace prize ceremony, writes Aftenposten.
The motive was that he requires peace in Mexico and wants the country's authorities to take responsibility for the abduction and murder of 43 student teachers. Of his Facebook page shows that he decided to campaign on 5 November.
He came to Norway on 26 November, searched Tuesday for asylum. He is afraid of reprisals if he returns to his home country after the protest, according to his brother.
He was interrogated on Thursday at the immigration police unit in Oslo. Late on Thursday came a decision on his asylum application is rejected, reports the Norwegian TV2.
It took 12 seconds before security guards intervened against 21-year-old in the Town Hall. He got past the ticket control without either a ticket or identity documents.
- A possible explanation for why he came in without a ticket, he followed the others who passed this point and thus were not captured by those who control tickets and ID. It is a security flaw that would not have occurred, said the chief of staff in Oslo Police District at a press conference on Wednesday.
An assumption about how he could make their way to the scene without stopping, he sneaked into a cluster of photographers and stayed on when they backed off after a photo opportunity.
