Great Cultural Sudan

Is it a new political map of Sudan which consists of three countries: Sudan, Chad and Eritrea? Is it the New Sudan of SPLM in an expanded form? Instead of thinking about the hidden plot to divide Sudan into five countries, can we talk about new lands for Sudan?
A Sudanese historical reference, “al-Tabaqat” narrated many stories about the concept of Sudan during the Sinnari period 1504 – 1828. In the introduction, the author stated that he wrote about Sudan as a country that consists of three states. The author M. Daifallah, although he lived in the Sinnari Sultanate that occupied less than one third of Sudan, his book documented for Islamic saints, scholars and kings alongside the area from Bargou kingdom or “Dar-Selaih” in Chad west of “Dar-Fur”, further to Eritrean coasts. A poet in those days said in a poem about Sudan “From Dar-Selaih to East of Bazza”, a city which located in Eritrea in those days. Before Turku-Egyptian colonization in 1828 there were many kingdoms, Sultanates and Sheikhdoms. All Sudanese territories have its political independence, but if we talk about the country, the land, the people and the Identity there was a sense of unity among all kingdoms, Sultanates and Sheikhdoms. The Southern question in Sudan regrettably has reached its last step now; the referendum will take place in 2011. Some of Sudanese politicians from south or north call for separation; they said that we have no evidences about the existence of one country in the past. In contrast “al-Tabaqat” narrated a story about revolution against the king of Sinnar; the said revolution exploded in the three capitals of the Sultanate: Sinnar, Qarri, and Allis, and the first Sudanese alliance nearly collapsed. The third city, Allis belonged to Shiluck Kingdom. That means the Sinnari alliance was triple one not dual. It was true and pure Sudanese alliance between Northern, Central and Southern Sudan! On the base of all these proofs, I call for a Confederation or Union which consists of Sudan, Chad and Eritrea. It must be secular, because there are three secular states now: South Sudan, Chad and Eritrea. The Comprehensive Peace Agreement has established a good base for the relation between Church and State, therefore no fear from the Islamic State in North Sudan. The confederation should engage immediately in Economic and commercial issues. Now Sudan is an African lion; oil and industrialized country that can help its neighbors.GCS based on a strong historical cultural background. In spite of several trials and plots to separate the Sudanese nation from N'Djamena to Massawa and from Halfa to Nemoly, the common cultural pillars of GCS have survived and remained among people.
