CALL FOR SPECIALISED FORUMS

    Both Arabic and English discussion boards include topics pertaining to all aspects of life: politics, education, sports,
    religion, entertainment, and the like. I kindly request members to lobby the idea that more specilised forums are more practical
    than the present organisation of topics. Some visitors and contributors would suffer to find something interesting to read
    owing to this indescriminate organisation.

    Hi Alsadig,

    I think if we divide each section or field some of the topics are going to be abandoned.. so I prefer both boards to remain in their recent shape ....

    Osama

    Hi Mr. Osama
    Thanks for contributing to the post though opposing to it. It is not about some topics being abandoned;
    for there would always be someone interested in whatever that appears here or there. You might agree most topics
    are developed not because of their popularity but rather because of the personal relationship between authors and
    readers. Thus, I believe, there's no reason to worry about "abandoning". The argument still stands: if I'm not interested
    in football or political issues, why should I be made to come across them?

    Dear Doc,
    hellooos!
    There's a site named singacity online...my home town website...and they have a forum carefully divided as you say...politics,sports, poetry, Khawatir!!, social... problem is you as a writer can't define under which category your writing falls and you cant find a certain subject where it should be... a religous subject could very well be a political one...so is a social subject... there is a high level of contributors but a low level of participants.
    but i understand what you mean...i mean check the arabic board(bizarre)...but maybe this is the direction that 21st century thought is heading, sports merge with politics merge with culture (it is already true).
    but i understand its frustrating..but i think our board is like the seasons...one morning you open it and its pouring rain...another day a stagnant heat!!!

    Hi,

    Although the thought of splitting up/organising the forums into different topics may work for a faster moving board, this English board is so slow and lacking posts that I don't think it is difficult to locate topics that interest you, and if this board was split I personally think it would be hard to find a new post - let alone an interesting one!

    Hi Maysoon;
    How nice to hear from you. I wish you a nice stay in your new country.
    I thought that being a mom might force one to terminate intellectual production. But surely I were mistaken.
    I appreciate your contribution to this post. You Know I like it just the way cingacity folks do; and it would always be ok to approach ,say,
    sports from a political perspective, and so forth.

    Hello Mr. Safwan;
    Apolgy for late response. It was because the language war triggered by board members in the wake of Khalil's
    invasion forced me to disappear from the whole website.
    Thanks for enriching the post.
    There would always be new and interesting topics in both organizations. I must admit that people here are not as productive as those of the Arabic board but this should not be a valid excuse to stick to the present organization of posts.
