Sudanese activists faces compulsory extradition from Cairo to Sudan
|
Cairo-The security service has taken the Sudanese opposition activist Abu-Gasim Ibrahim to Cairo International Airport from Al-Ganatir prison in a closed car. Sudanese activists gathered on Thursday morning at Cairo Airport said that they knew that Abu-Gasim is at the airport prison but they were not able to see him. International human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, human rights watch have continued endeavors to stop the extradition of Abu-Gasim to Khartoum. While the Egyptian foreign ministry said it has sent a letter to stop the ex tradition, the national security authorities at the airport, which is in charge of the compulsory extradition process, has not confirmed the stop of the process. The Egyptian Interior Minister Major General Mohamed Ibrahim will be the first official responsible for direct violations to the human rights in terms of extraditing a refugee to his country compulsory despite presence of possibilities that he might face sooner or later, prosecution.
