President Al-bashir turns down Chadian offer on mediation between government and Darfur Janjaweed

Khartoum-Well informed sources have revealed differences between Sudan and Chad over the rebellion led by commander of Al-sahwa Sudanese militias and Janjaweed leader Mosa Hilal in areas in north Darfur. Western circles indicate that the good relations between Khartoum and Ndjamena might witness severance soon. It is known that the Chadian President Idris Deby is married to the daughter of the tribal chief Mosa Hilal two years ago, and it has been said Deby was trying bring the gap closer between the Arab tribes to which Hilal belongs and the Zagawa tribes to which Deby belongs to. Zagawa tribes are present in both Sudan and Chad. The sources told Al-sharq al-awsat that special envoy from the Chadian President Idris Deby has made a telephone conversation with Hilal to mediate between him and the Sudanese government, and to stop the expansion of the armed confrontations between the two sides. According to TTU strategic bulletin, Deby has offered, during a meeting with Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir in coastal city of Port-Sudan last week, to make a mediate Hilal and President Al-Bashir. The bulletin stated that President al-bashir has turned down the Chadian president mediation offer. The last period, the military operations between the forces of Mosa Hilal and the government forces on one side and the forces of Sudan Liberation Movement-Minawi faction and the Sudanese armed forces on the other.
