I found some resources during a research i was conducting. You may all know about these sites already, however it would not hurt to share and get some of your finds.
Sudan Notes and Records
the full set may be found in this cite
http://journals.uofk.edu/index.php?option=com...leandid=114andItemid=107
This is a full set of SNR that you may download in pdf. very useful and as we all know, has some of the most interesting articles written about the Sudan and Sudanese people.

Governor General's reports from 1901 to the 50s
http://www.dur.ac.uk/library/asc/sudan/gov-genl_reports/
These are huge volumes of the yearly reports sent to his Majesty's government in London about Sudan and Egypt. it is a pdf (picture) and you have to develop your own way of navigating the contents
they are from Durham University, Sudan Archives. if you search for Sudan Archives you will find more information about the Sudan.
by the way of Sudan Archives. You may apply for a Lord Luce fellowship, a two months fellowship that allows you access to the Archives and the rich Durham U library.. you have to have a proposal for a specific research.

Scribd http://www.scribd.com/
Scribd is a most useful site especially for out of print books, old and new books, in more than one language. for example you can get Ibn Khuldun in Arabic and English translation.
you can download whole books, but you need to subscribe for 60 dollars per year. of course it does not have everything but for $ 60 it is worthwhile.

There are other places where you may get the Qur'an or sahih albukhari ... etc. but these are easy to Google and there are more than one place. By the way of more than one place, there is a site for SNR in Michigan university but the University of Khartoum one is more sophisticated and easy to get in and out of .

please share your resources, especially those found during researching a specific subject.
you may also post a request for resources, if you are a "starving" student it is easy to get my help.
