Dear friends,

Happy 2013 to you all...

This is a humble invitation to all of you, in 2013 to show our love,
appreciation and pride to the man who deserve it all…the genius mind
behind sudaneseonline...Muhandes Bakri Abu Bakr “our Mark Zuckerberg”...
who work day and night to make it possible to all of us to be together
in this site…to interact, to learn from each another, to care and support
each other in good and bad times, to learn tolerance, to reflect our thoughts
at different aspects of life, to meet wonderful people and treasure them
and their contribution to humanity with their beautiful souls, to share
what makes us better Human Beings and to dream and hope for a better future
to our people in Sudan "North and South".

Yes, there were “and always will be” times when some of us might feel frustrated,
bored or even hurt from some of what been written in the Arabic Forum, however, we
cannot stop loving sudaneseonline, because the beauty and the positive energy will
always be there and it is up to us to focus on what we want.

Bakri Abu Bakr…we love you, we are proud of you and we appreciate your hard work and
dedication to make sudaneseonline as very useful and beautiful site as it could be...
We wish you a wonderful 2013... and for sudaneseonline to always be on top and a number
one website for many people for years to come.

Thank You

Jawahir

Thank you Bashmhandis Bakri for sharing this beautiful comment of your wife…
Let me take this opportunity to extend the gratitude to your wife too… as we
know from history that “Behind every great man there’s a great woman” and I believe
that the main ingredient in the recipe of success in addition to the personal qualities
as ambition, hard work and dedication, is the family support and environment that
allows the creativity to flourish…

So, thank you too Mrs. Abu Bakr

May Allah protect you all...

Thank you Asma …
Bakri is the Boss and yes, he is our brother too…it is nice to show him appreciation… I am a bit disappointed but not surprised about the poor response to this post…So, to feel better I said to myself it is because you are still barloma here ”new” or because it is quit in here in this English Forum…and I know Bakri knows how much people appreciate his effort here anyway :)
Some of us are very good in demands and asking for what we want… that sense of entitlement after having password and becoming a member… then the question is: Why we fall short when it comes to appreciation?
My assumption “I could be wrong” is that it is a cultural thing that most of us do not care about saying “THANK YOU” or show positive feelings in words to people around us (e.g. our brothers or sisters...etc) because we assume that they know how much we care or we appreciate what they have done to us…so, we tend not to verbalize it.
The good news, is that Sudanese people, in general, are kind and very good in showing feelings in action when needed …for example if Bakri one day just said I am sick “God forbid” … you will see many posts and words…some will even pick the phone or e mail him or even travel to say “Salamtak ya Rayes and Kafara”… but when things are cool, he is just our brother no need to say thank you... that much…

THANK YOU and Gratitude won’t hurt and cost nothing, at least we can make sure that we do not take things for granted.

Yes, that is very true ya Jawahir. culturally we save the thank yous for a certain day, I think this is the source of the famous words
إن شا الله يوم شكرك ما يجي

Dear Barloma .. !lool!
Absolutely not because you are barloma, for that we were been reluctant to participate here..
because writing about "Alraiies and his tolerable family" and complement him/them
is something not easy for so many of us here .. to others; it called kissier talij ,
which he and them don´t like ..
Thank you for having the courage and the well-phrased words to cherish him and to express
such appreciation and to show him some gratitude..

Anyway, if Bakri ever decided "one day" to run for the Presidency, I will vote for him without
hesitation, because he is well-trained from the Board and from Life to deal equally with all
sections and parts of Sudan without injustice, but with equality and justice, which is and it's
the real dilemma of Sudan today ..

So he will succeed in the "mission impossible" without doubt ..!

Thank You
Bakri Abu Bakr and his supportive family for everything.. and best wishes for 2013

Thank you all here ..

Dear Asma…
Thank you for clarifying the cultural part…

Dear Hadeer…
Thanks you for your response and your kind words… I used the word Barloma as a possible reason for the poor response to this blog in order to feel better after my disappointment as I wanted people to show with me a deserved appreciation to Bakri …now you eliminated this reason... then I will hang on “because English Forum is quite” …Asma added the a cultural part and you added the “kissier talij”…looool ...da kalam da.

Let me comment on these possible reasons:
#1: English Forum is so quite: Makes some sense… may be those “more than a 100 click” are all from outside the board and none of them has a password...
hmmmmm….I can swallow this one :)

#2: The fear of the phrase “kissier talij”: Hahahaaa...Really..!! ??
My understanding is that, this “awkward “phrase is usually used when the complement had been said to someone who does not “necessarily” deserve it with the intention to boost his/her Ego….this reason simply does not apply here because Muhandes Bakri Abu Bakr is a well know person to everyone by his significant contribution to social media and the huge positive impact of sudaneseonline on lives of so many people, add to that he is a humble person who does not need any Ego booster nor want it….So, this is an invalid reason to me… people at least come and say thank you to him and go…!!

#3: Cultural reason save the “thank yous” for specific dayإن شا الله يوم شكرك ما يجي:
It is the worse one...it doesn’t make any sense what so ever.…why in the earth should we wait or hold on mentioning positive facts about a person and the good things they had done to us and all the “thank yous” till they are no longer with us???!!!…culture??!! Why should we follow blindly any part of the culture that doesn’t make sense or can not add to us…why don’t we replace it with something better??!! I think we should do be better than this.

Reason #3 really requires a long debate in the Arabic board when I got chance…and my speed in typing improved…and ready for some fights… :)

Thank you Ladies for allowing me to vent here…and to Bakri…
Thank you for allowing us to say thanks to you and your family.

)))))))))))))))))

That we do!

Quote again:

)))))))))))))))))))))))
That we don't!
We do verbalize our thanx to a boring extent...
But,
speaking for those in land...
Internet service is awful..
and since the hackering of the Board we suffer alot to get posted.....for example I started 2 hours ago to write on your post, that means
at six in the morning, and couldn't get this comment posted!!!I rewrote it twice and this is my third and "last" attempt!
So..(now I lost half of it and this is week 2 since I started!).

Sorry Bakri and Jawahir for the inconvenience that we pay for by not contributing even a 'nice word' for a tremendous service
done for the love of a country and its people....

Please Bakri convey to your much appreciated wife that her 'martyrdom' is greatly recognized...and from an old auntie:
(Lucky you having your husband off your hands for so often..hahaha).

Thanx again Jawaher for your thoughtfulness....
Happy New Year..
And we love you ALL.
