Everytime I call myself that (subject line) someone my age or close to it would object.
has old age lost its luster? yes dear luster.
It used to be powerful to be old. A grandmother would hush men with her Ukaz. besides I do not really want to be 20, been there done that,
and if you ask me there was little fun in it.
The beauties of old age are many. Now will the beautiful oldies, of all genders, step in and count their blessings on this post?

I am trying to dig out those old men and women but they seem to be holding a grudge right now.
Go ahead and give me another two of your grandmothers' "challenges" to the system.
a couple of years ago I was totally defending old women's rights to wear the clothes they want in the colors they prefer.
two days after my fierce defence, i went to a wedding party where i saw a women many years older than I wearing a chiffone tobe and being as young as as a rose in a garden. I remember looking with disdain at the chiffone tobe but could not say anything, it was her right. I defended her to people who thought it was not proper , but deep deep inside i was thinking Damn! what was she thinking? I did not have to think for long the answer was she was an old woman!!! hello Freedom.

With age comes wisdom, you become more wise, you think more deeply, less worries, less responsibilities as a mother, more time, more freedom to do/go/travel/sleep/read/write...etc without worring too much about your grown kids or go to work..

By the way, this post suppose to be for oldies only?... is there any cut number for age for which anyone could consider him/herself old?.. I know 50s (fifty=fabuluos) and 60s just middle age...loool

When I was 10 I saw the people in 20s are old, then when I reached 20s I saw the 30s are very very old, aha when I became 30s myself I start seeing the 20s as kids ;-))

You know, since I ‘grew old’ I started being creative in other people’s eyes…simply because I stopped abiding to the meaningless courtesies that contribute to your high blood pressure problems and the like..hahaha.
However,
7- What I enjoy most is being held the wisest wherever I go.....
Now I play wisdom and no one dares but admire 'the wise old lady.'

6- I can now tell the truth to any fool's face and get accepted!

5- I know I snore loud and no one dares tell me that...not even my doctor!

I feel very young but they keep asking for my date of birth everytime they hand me a form to fill. sometimes
they ask for date of birth and age, if that isn't an overkill what is?

My nephew who is four years old but so smart asked how old I was, I told him my age minus ten years. he put both hand on his head and uttered a loooooong "la hawl Allah. Aslu mafi zole gadur kida"
My father may he rest in peace gave me his early gray hair, I started to grey by age 19, so I got used to the color early on and I am quite comfortable with it, but i am always asked to please cover it with something!!!

-Dressed in a nice bright colors with each piece picked in purpose to match perfectly …oldies can dress in any color they like….FREEDOM
-Comfy shoes …. no high heels - lower risk of broken bones … not smoking too-she knows it is bad for health-… the cigarette here just to show off … WISDOM
-Sitting there Relaxed…. likely thinking “ where to go next… visit grandchildren?…or travel to Bahamas beach or may be take a cruise trip to Mediterranean sea? …. many options for FUN
-Probably that bag behind her contains an iPad, a kindle full of reading materials and extra pairs of magnifying lens…

Well, my contribution is simple.
We, badasses @ sixty, are becoming more than numbers.
So much so that we can dictate on society new age groupings
that would put us right were the chicks are. And do not forget,
we've got all the necessary chemical correction!

I was at lecture 6 years ago given by an over 80 man about population, he said the demography is changing
65 now is the middle age. so let us enjoy the demography bit for a while.
Do you consider women of your age "chicks" ?
because, Man, I do not think that the bearers of the real chick rank go to museums

I thought it was women who shy away from telling their age or talking about aging
