Jakarta, Indonesia, 5 April (SUNA) -The first session of the official talks between the visiting Sudanese judiciary delegation and its Indonesian counterpart, started at the head office of the Indonesian higher count on Tuesday.
The Sudanese chief Justice Professor Haydar Ahmed Dafalla is heading the Sudanese side while his Indonesian counterpart, Professor Mohamed Hatta Ali, heads the other side.
The meeting focused on the means of further cooperation between the two sides through a memorandum of understanding to be prepared and signed by Khartoum and Jakarta.
Professor Hatta presented a briefing on the system of government in his country and the three distinct powers of the judiciary, legislature and the executive. He further dwelt on the Indonesian judiciary and the members of the body which include over 8 thousand judges and 35 thousand staffers.
He also briefed the meeting on the Indonesian judiciary performance for the year 2015 and the future plans seeking to cement the independence of the judiciary there. Ma/ma
