Martin Sils and Andzs Ubelis are two Latvian motorcyclists. They began their exciting journey of twenty African and European countries in South Africa, travelled to Lesotho, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and have recently arrived to Sudan. The objective of their visit is to discover the geography and to meet people from twenty countries and different ethnic backgrounds. On their way they visited many EU supported development projects and were particularly optimistic about EU investment in new roads connecting African countries.

Upon their arrival to Khartoum, they were received by Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan. The cyclists were interviewed by Sudanese television stations and daily newspapers, visited Sudanese landmarks and participated in experiences suggested by Latvian schoolchildren.

Andzs Ubelis, said that they will explain to the children back in Latvia about their visit to twenty countries. "We will tell them about the diversity in Africa and Europe and the friendly reception by the local people."

Martins Sils added he is very happy to participate in this adventure and that this trip inspired him to organize future motorcycle adventures, to visit more countries and regions, and never stop learning.
