Murderer of Spanish diplomat in Khartoum arrested

Khartoum state police have affirmed that the murder of the diplomat in charge of the consular section at the Spanish Embassy in Khartoum, which committed at his flat in Garden City in Khartoum last Monday, has nothing to do with any acts of terror or politics.

Head of the Khartoum Police Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Ali told a press conference on Friday that the person accused of committing the murder was arrested.

Referring to the efforts made by the police to arrest the culprit, he said that the police have investigated with 7 suspected persons, before they were able to arrest the culprit who left Khartoum to Gezira state the day after he murder.

He stated that squad of police has raided into his house and caught him wearing the clothes of the murdered diplomat. Some of the possessions of the killed diplomat was also found with the culprit. The further said that the culprit has confessed committing the crime.
