Parliament rejects finance ministry answer on food gap in eastern Darfur

Khartoum-The Parliament has rejected a report by the ministry of finance to answer a question raised by member of the Parliament for Shi’eria constituency Abdel-Jabar Hasabala on signs of food gap in East Darfur state, according to sources.

The sources told the Citizen that parliament returned the report to the ministry of finance due to inaccuracy of the answer on the food gap in East Darfur state.

The sources said that Abdel-Jabar Hasabala, who made a field trip to a number of areas in East Darfur state last week, has denied the entire numbers mentioned in the report and the arrival of large quantities of sorghum from the strategic stockpile and the humanitarian aid to the area.
