Darfur Webcast
Darfur Webcast Wednesday, August 25th, 9:00 AM Eastern On this page at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday, August 25th (the National ‘Day of Conscience’ on Sudan) we will stream a live audi/video webcast from a refugee camp on the Sudan border with Chad. Our camera crew on the ground will give you an opportunity to meet several survivors of the Darfur genocide, as well as aid workers on the front lines, and hear their stories. Our satellite technology will let you hear their voices and see their faces live as they tell their own stories. You will also be able to submit questions, which will be asked by a host for the webcast in New York City.
We expect people from all over the world to tune in for this ‘Online Town Meeting’. It will be a place for all of us who care about ending this terrible human tragedy to see and hear about it for ourselves, and begin our Day of Conscience listening to the people of Darfur, in all their dignity and pain.
