 Darfur Fundraiser event at the World Bank In Washington DC

Al salam Alikum :
As you all know the Darfur crisis has turned into a humanitarian disaster. power struggles led to the displacement and killing of thousands of our brothers and sisters in Darfur. Being here in the United States, we feel handicapped when it comes to this issue; not being able to lend a helping hand. However, a group of concerned people at the World Bank have took the initiative and setup a small fundraising effort.
That group contacted the Youth forum of the Sudanese American community Development Organization (SACDO), to help in supporting the event. The effort is simple, but will show support for this cause. Booths and stands will be setup throughout World Bank and IMF buildings, which are all located in Donwtown D.C. conveniently close to metro stations. The stands will have information about the current situation and basic facts that would be necessary for the donator. The stands will be active from 12 pm to 2 pm from Monday, July 26th to Friday, July 30th. Volunteers are needed to be at the stands to give potential donators more information about the Darfur crisis as well as manage the donations. This will not be a hard task, as we will have a session before the week starts that will shed light on the Darfur crisis as well as get people acquainted with the organizers. This will be an excellent chance to make a difference and lend a helping hand to those not as fortunate as ourselves.
