Is Tragie intimidating.....?
|
As a Hamiltonian, it is embarassing to read the postings of all involved in the quarrel between Tragie and Mohd Adam. I have known Tragie since she came to Hamilton but I know Mohd Adam much longer. MY interactions with Tragie has always been upfront and truthful.
Everyone has their short-comings, so we are not perfect. We will always have disagreements but we should try to resolve our differences civilly, without personal character assassinations. I do not agree with all that he/she does or say, but the current tensions arose because of assumptions and misintepretations of facts.
In spite of her flaws, no one can deny her contributions to the community. The same members that are now speaking ill of her were, not too long ago, giving her the highest praise.
Does Tragie intimidate and immasculate everyone to the extent that she must be taken out ? Moral indignation is jealousy/envy with a halo. It is courageous and admirable to speak one's mind and stand up for oneself; so to put her down because she is capable of speaking and standing up for herself is purely unneccessary and inappropriate. Rare is the person who can weigh the faults of others without putting his thumb on the scales.
It is high time for Mohd El Hassan to convene the committee, sooner rather than later, to resolve this issue between Tragie and Mohd Adam. All these ruckus is of no benefit to anyone or the Darfur cause.
My personal advice(s) to everyone is this : If you have nothing to hide, then you will hide nothing. If you have always spoken the truth, and never spoke from both sides of your mouth, then your reputation will always be intact. Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn't blow in the wind, or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself. And, if you look in there and see a man who will not cheat, then you know he never will.
