في لحظة تتسم بالإنسانية والرحمة، ألقى صاحب الجلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة ملك مملكة البحرين المعظم، بظلال العفو الشامل على 1584 نزيلًا، وذلك بمناسبة اليوبيل الفضي لتوليه مقاليد الحكم حيث جاءت هذه الخطوة النبيلة في وقت يحتفل فيه الشعب البحريني بعيد الفطر المبارك لتجسد قيم الإنسانية والتسامح التي يتحلى بها جلالته.
اذ تعتبر هذه الخطوة إشارة واضحة إلى الحكمة السامية وروح العدل والرحمة التي يتحلى بها جلالته ، وتجسد رغبة جلالته في تعزيز قيم الإنسانية والتضامن في مجتمعنا، وتمثل دعوة صادقة للمحكومين ليعودوا إلى طريق الصواب ويساهموا في بناء مجتمع متطور يسوده العدل والقانون.
هذا العفو الشامل يؤكد على اللفتة الأبوية والإنسانية الحكيمة التي يتمتع بها جلالة الملك، ويعزز الأمل في قلوب المعفو عنهم، ويجلب السعادة والفرح للعائلات التي ستتمكن من لمّ شملها بفضل هذه الخطوة النبيلة.
وجاءت هذه الخطوة لتؤكد على الموقف الإنساني النبيل والذي يعكس العناية والرحمة التي يتحلى بها عاهل البلاد المفدى ،ويمثل نموذجًا حقيقيًا لأسمى قيم حقوق الإنسان. وهو إشارة واضحة لالتزام المملكة بالقيم الإنسانية ومبادئ العدالة والتسامح.
