في لحظات التاريخ التي تتناغم فيها قصص الشجاعة مع نبرات العزيمة، تبرز شخصيات المرأة المصرية بقوة وإثبات. وفي ذلك اليوم المميز، السادس عشر من شهر مارس، تتجلى قصص البطولة والتحديات، لترسم لنا لوحة مشرقة من الإنجازات والتحديات التي واجهتها المرأة المصرية في رحلتها نحو التقدم والتحرر.
في ذلك اليوم العظيم من عام 1919، خرجت نساء مصر بأعداد كبيرة لتحتل موقع البطولة في ساحة النضال من أجل الحرية والاستقلال. بقيادة الناشطة الشهيرة هدى شعراوى، رفعن شعار الوحدة والتضامن، وأثبتن أن قوتهن وعزيمتهن لا تقهر. سقطت العديد منهن كشهداء في تلك الثورة العظيمة، لكن روح الصمود والتضحية لم تنكسر.
وفي ذات اليوم من عام 1923، تم الإعلان عن تأسيس أول اتحاد نسائي في مصر، خطوة ثورية نحو تمثيل المرأة وحماية حقوقها في المجتمع. تجسد هذه الخطوة رغبة المرأة المصرية في المشاركة الفعالة في صناعة مستقبلها ومساهمة في بناء وطنها.
ولم يكن يوم 16 مارس يوماً للنضال فقط، بل كان أيضاً يوماً للتحدي والتغيير في مجال التعليم، حيث دخلت أول دفعة من الفتيات إلى جامعة القاهرة في عام 1928، فتحدت هذه الفتيات القواعد القديمة وكسرن الحواجز، لتثبت أن المرأة المصرية ملمة بقوة العلم والمعرفة.
نجد أنفسنا محاطين بروح الفخر والاعتزاز بتلك الشخصيات البارزة التي صنعت التاريخ بأيديها وبحنكتها. إنها رحلة لا تنسى من النضال والتحدي، حيث تحطمت الحواجز وتجاوزت المعوقات، لتثبت المرأة المصرية بكل إرادتها وعزيمتها أنها قادرة على تحقيق المستحيل.
لا يمكن إلا أن نعبر عن امتناننا العميق لكل امرأة مصرية شاركت في هذه الرحلة، سواء كانت في القيادة أو في الخطوط الأمامية أو خلف الكواليس. إنهن يمثلن رمزًا للقوة والإرادة والتحدي، ونقدر كل جهدهن وتضحياتهن التي ساهمت في بناء مجتمع أفضل وأكثر تقدمًا.
لنستمر في الاحتفال بروح المرأة المصرية، ولنعمل معًا على توفير المزيد من الفرص والمساواة، حتى تظل المرأة المصرية تلعب دورًا بارزًا في تحقيق التقدم والازدهار لوطنها الغالي، مصر، ولتستمر قصص البطولة والتألق في مسيرتها المشرقة نحو المستقبل.
Egyptian Women's Day: Chapters from the history of heroism and brilliance
In moments of history when stories of courage blend with tones of determination, the characters of Egyptian women stand out with strength and proof. On that special day, the sixteenth of March, stories of heroism and challenges emerge, painting for us a bright picture of the achievements and challenges that Egyptian women faced in their journey towards progress and liberation.
On that great day in 1919, Egyptian women came out in large numbers to occupy a heroic position in the arena of struggle for freedom and independence. Led by the famous activist HodaShaarawy, they raised the slogan of unity and solidarity, and proved that their strength and determination are invincible. Many of them fell as martyrs in that great revolution, but the spirit of steadfastness and sacrifice was not broken.
On the same day in 1923, the establishment of the first women’s union in Egypt was announced, a revolutionary step towards representing women and protecting their rights in society. This step embodies the desire of Egyptian women to actively participate in shaping their future and contribute to building their country.
March 16 was not only a day of struggle, but it was also a day of challenge and change in the field of education, as the first batch of girls entered Cairo University in 1928. These girls challenged the old rules and broke barriers, proving that Egyptian women are aware of the power of science and knowledge.
We find ourselves surrounded by a spirit of pride and admiration for those prominent figures who made history with their own hands and skill. It is an unforgettable journey of struggle and challenge, where barriers were broken and obstacles were overcome, for Egyptian women to prove with all their will and determination that they are capable of achieving the impossible.
We can only express our deep gratitude to every Egyptian woman who has participated in this journey, whether in leadership, on the front lines, or behind the scenes. They represent a symbol of strength, will and challenge, and we appreciate all their efforts and sacrifices that contributed to building a better and more advanced society.
Let us continue to celebrate the spirit of Egyptian women, and let us work together to provide more opportunities and equality, so that Egyptian women continue to play a prominent role in achieving progress and prosperity for their dear homeland, Egypt, and so that stories of heroism and brilliance continue in their bright march towards the future.
