I represent the luckiest generation ever ..To Husham Habani and his generation with love

Dear Habani . I don’t know you ,but I read your words every now and then . I’m inspired by what you put down of works and fights against Ingaz . Your generation fought against Numari ,so it doesn’t surprise me to see another solder of that generation lead the fight here as well . I do share a lot of views with you ,so keep them coming sir.
My generation is lucky ..Why ? ..read on ..quite long ,but worth looking at if not worth anything else .
I was born in the early eighties and I wasn’t fully a ware of what went on /had happened at the time in Sudan. In that era and the era before Sudan had come to see the birth of Shariya Laws . This is a significant event led to changes among Sudanese people in many aspects ways ,etc .. . I’m in no way an expert here ,but I’m just an opinionated person that lives and observes just like anyone.

. I think my generation is the luckiest generation comparing it to yours . We are luckier indeed ,but we are not necessarily the best or better than you by any mean. . We didn’t have to live the changes, but you did and we later on understood them. Speaking of myself , whatever happened in the past I didn‘t have an impact on .however, I‘m fortunate enough to decide what events from the past that to have an impact on me . Speaking of the present , my generation sees many paths and ways and has a chance to choose what way to take . Speaking of the past , your generations didn’t have the choice . In the eighties , things took a quick spin of change where you were taken by surprise and a fewer options were left to pick from. Facts stated , You lived events ,asked questions , gave lives ,took lives , gone into wars ,made peace etc ,but never knew all the answers or grasp the whole truth . my generation read the book ,spoke to people who wrote them ,raised by the same people who kept the secrets and let it out years later . Some events happened and we know why the happened and how significant they were . People gave lives in order to correct satiations and others took some lives to stop certain situation from happening .my generations witnessed the birth of Ingaz as government and movement . I sure don’t see any justification in Ingaz ; however some member of my generation think otherwise . Back on track . To me , Ingaz started in the early eighties . The unseen Islamic path and movement wasn’t presented as a threat in the eighties . Why ? Because at the time people enjoyed having the privilege of freedom and there wasn’t anyone to stop the freedom of having thoughts or adopting movements as such as Islam ,Sharya Laws etc.. , Sure leaders like Turabi took advantage of it and preached his thoughts to the public .. Some people followed and answered his call ,yet others rejected. One particular person did like the movement . Numari not only liked it ,but force it into laws. My follow big brothers and Sudanese pure sisters had to live that era and had to witness the shame , the fear , the “look out attitude” . that generation suffered being in a state where they had to ask questions about the direction of life . I’m sure the young one of them had or at least thought about asking this question .Was the life they lived before Sharya Laws all wrong ,or wasn’t ? . Now you all know why I’m lucky . Yes I’m , because I didn’t have to be in that position . Many of my generation think outside the box . We are free thinkers . We look outside the box then we go and look deep into it . We take things out and look at them . We put things on place . We know Ingaz is wrong and we know Sharya laws wasn’t the right choice at the time and still not . We know that we live in a country that has Muslims and none and it is not fair to mark the whole Sudan as Islamic country . I quite know we are not the best in the world . We have problems and issues that we need to talk about . Being Muslims doesn’t mean we don’t Kill ,rape ,steal and do harm .Being Sudanese doesn’t mean we are pure Africans nor pure Arabs . We could be whatever ,but we need to accept one another and move forward . . .knowing is one thing ,but doing is another . Ending this , I have to give Habani and his generation a big credit here . They took actions ,but I didn’t . they were the reasons that Numari had to leave etc. I can go on and on .Now let us work a side by side to correct the ongoing wrong state we are having . .. My hat off to all of you .. Much love ..

Re: I represent the luckiest generation ever ..To Husham Habani and his generation with love (Re: Muhib)

    Dear Muhib,
I agree with a lot of what you wrote , and have respect too, so take your hat and wear it , For the options you claim the old generation lacked and we have , I have a comment to add , that is , the options were always existing , for us and for them , what didn't exist is the humiliation , stress , physical and emotional abuse , massacres , rape ,famine , and a huge number of people ding from starvation while others on the other side of the country die because of obese related disease , all this increase by the second esp. after the current blood sucking power hungry shameless gangsta like government , so people like us " new generation' chose other options , that always existed but never reached a point to take roads that were temporary closed opened and people fled different direction seeking refuge , shelter , food , education , respectful life and most importantly they went looking for a place to save whatever is left from their dignity . Our new generation is undertaking a difficult mission or a test that is an identity crises prevention , when thousands of us are born out side the borders of Sudan and face life with a big whole in their soul empty from passion to Sudan , unfortunately only seen in people who are living in Sudan or were there at one point in their lives .I believe as a member of this generation , I need to first fill that whole with real emotions and it's hard when all you hear about is starvation , genocide and shameful acts of shameless people taking power of the poor , exhausted Sudan. Not and easy mission , but as they say if there is a will there is a way. God willing.
    with respect
    Rawan Hamid
